Got unanswered questions?

I had a lot! Particularly after meeting a family of cousins at a small reunion, I was given 5 foolscap pages of what I was told was about my ancestors and their descendants; this would have been around 1997. I then set about copying all this information into a Genealogy Program on my computer and more queries started to evolve, the task of researching these queries proving to be at times so frustrating, I did nothing more until 2005 and was marginally satisfied with what I now had in my possession but I needed help!!!!!!

In January 2006 I joined the Caboolture Family History Research Group and from day one the benefits started. Being a novice of such, I found the advice and help received from the voluntary staff and members very rewarding and once I learned what resources of which there are many were available at the club, the doors started opening and I even found I had connections to a few fellow members, the sharing of information between one another helping to confirm our work.

I am now 75 years of age, therefore I was raised in the time where children were seen and not heard, and so ancestors and their descendants were a mystery. I had no living grand parents when I was a child and all I knew was I had a half-brother, a couple of Aunts and cousins, so the research involved on them has been most interesting and I have found answers to many questions no one would tell me.

The best thing I ever did to enhance my Family History research was to join “The Caboolture Family History Research Group”.
